International Leadership Programme: Kenya 2018

  • Thayu Farm Hotel Limuru Kenya (map)

Applications now open for the 2018 WYSE International Leadership Programme in Kenya, 13th - 24th May 2017. Thirty Emerging Leaders aged 18-35 from across the world and a diverse range of professions and socio economic backgrounds will take part in an intensive, challenging and rewarding 12 day residential leadership programme to work together for global change.

WYSE International has been running International Leadership programmes for over 20 years with participants from over 100 countries. In the last year WYSE has made a commitment to expand the reach and accessibility of its programmes by having a programme in Kenya for the first time. Africa is a continent full of possibilities, as well as challenges, large amounts of resource and the youngest population in the world. Therefore, it is an exciting time to be supporting young leaders to come together to find innovative ways to tap into this potential for global benefit.

If you have never been to Kenya, this is a great opportunity to visit a country of beauty, culture and amazing wildlife. If you are Kenyan, this is an opportunity on your doorstep to access an international programme.

The programme is to be held at Thayu Farm, which is set in 6 acres of mature gardens nestled in the tea growing hills of Limuru, 1 hour’s drive out of the capital city of Nairobi. “Thayu” is the local word for peace – and many people come to Thayu to enjoy the highland air and get away from the city.

Apply now, if you are 18-35 and have a strong interest in global citizenship and finding solutions to global challenges, have a vision of creating positive change in your community and would like to benefit from a highly challenging personal and professional development programme.

The cost of food and accommodation for the programme is £990 (GBP). All participants receive tuition bursaries of £6500 to cover the cost of teaching and the post-programme coaching support programme. A limited number of bursaries are available to support with the cost of food and accommodation. Please visit our bursaries page to find out more.
